D’autres partenaires suivront quand Virginie sera menée injustement à la guillotine le dernier jour de la Terreur… Une très intéressante biographie de deux personnalités féminines un peu tombées dans l’oubli qui, après celle de Mme Tallien, « La reine de Paris » et celle d’Olympe de Gouges « L’ange de la paix », achève la trilogie que Michel Peyramaure a consacré à ces quatre destins d’exception. Les documents sérieux manquant, il a opté pour une version très romancée en introduisant le personnage de fiction de Virginie et en prenant quelques libertés avec les dates des événements.
