Georges de Sarre a dit adieu au monde des Ambassades et abandonné sa particule en même temps que la diplomatie pour devenir écrivain. Si quelques fils gris argentent ses tempes, il a gardé le goût de mordre à la vie à belles dents et de ne refuser aucune expérience. Aussi, après les premiers étonnements, écoute-t-il le mentor de ses jeunes années, le père de Trennes, qui voudrait le voir devenir franc-maçon. Pourquoi cette surprise, c’est que la franc-maçonnerie ne passe pas pour être en odeur de sainteté auprès des autorités ecclésiastiques. Georges connaissait quelques-uns des préjugés qui s’attachent à cette société secrète; il en étudie, guidé par l’élégant jésuite, les arcanes et la puissance.
De Verdronkene
En néerlandais – “De verdronkene” verscheen in april 2005. De eerste druk in een gebonden uitgave, de tweede in een paperbackversie. Deze tweede druk is bij de samenvatting gebruikt. Het is een flinke roman over een noodlottige situatie tijdens de Watersnoodramp van 1953. De roman telt 331 bladzijden. De voorkant van de roman is overwegend blauw met een beetje grijs. Er staat geen afbeelding op de kaft. Op de achterkant staat een foto van de schrijfster en een uiteenzetting van eerder verschenen romans. De flaptekst staat op de één na laatste pagina, wat opmerkelijk mag heten.

The political ideas of St Thomas Aquinas
En Anglais – St. Thomas Aquinas, the chief spokesman of medieval scholasticism, was born at Aquino, a tiny place near Naples and from the name of the place he received the title Aquinas. But he is better known as Thomas and his thought is known to us as Thomism. He belonged to an aristocratic Italian family which had connections with European kings and emperors. In order to be a church father and to devote his life to the cause of Christianity and study he surrendered his title “Count.” He joined the Dominican Order at the age of nineteen and for this purpose he had to fight his family. He studied in Naples, Cologne and Paris and in the last mentioned place he delivered several lectures on philosophy and theology. At the age of forty- eight he died.
